Welcome To Water's Edge at Ewen
Water’s Edge is an exclusive use, event and wedding venue in the quaint village of Ewen, near Cirencester, Gloucestershire. Husband and wife team Steve and Emma Hewer launched the venue in 2022. Prior to this, the grounds hosted marquee weddings for over a decade. Now, with the construction of a permanent contemporary barn, we can offer a space for events all-year-round.
The venue features a two-storey, L-Shaped barn. The main party space on the ground floor includes a dining room with an open fireplace, a large bar and lounge area, and an open theatre-style kitchen where guests can watch our in-house chefs at work.

Our family-run business comprises of passionate, self-motivated, and energetic individuals who work together to provide an outstanding service.

Meet Our General Manager
The wedding venue is managed by Steve and Emma’s son, Will, who brings over 11 years of hospitality experience to the role. Will’s primary responsibility is ensuring that our wedding couples have an unforgettable experience. Known for his exceptional attention to detail, he takes pride in working closely with each bride and groom, tailoring every aspect of the wedding to their specific requirements. From initial planning to the final touches, Will’s commitment to excellence ensures that every couple’s vision is brought to life seamlessly.
Meet Our Executive Chef
Daniel Field, the venue’s head chef, brings over 15 years of experience to Water’s Edge. Additionally, he has worked alongside Michelin-starred chefs in London, The Lucky Onion Group, and Cowley Manor. He prides himself on using the finest local ingredients to create exceptional dishes and culinary experiences for our guests. Daniel’s cooking style is rustic and simple, focusing on bringing people together through food. Inspired by Yotam Ottolenghi’s vibrant colours and seasonal approach to cuisine.

Meet Our Events Coordinator
Alex Hewer brings extensive experience in managing multiple restaurants, wedding venues, pubs, and hotels in the Cotswold area. Notably, he has worked for Youngs Brewery Group and The Lucky Onion Group. With an impeccable eye for detail, Alex is deeply passionate about ensuring that guests have the best possible experience, as the son of the owners.
