When you book Water’s Edge, you get exclusive use of the venue, grounds, and lakeside, with two overnight stays in our luxurious on-site accommodation. We provide everything you need to celebrate in style, including furniture, table settings, lighting, audio equipment, and a dedicated wedding coordinator plus on-site staff to ensure the day runs smoothly.
Yes. You can tie the knot on our lakeside island, surrounded by the beautiful Cotswold countryside. It holds up to 180 guests and can be used throughout the seasons, with fire-style heaters available for the cooler months.
Water’s Edge is fully set up for all weathers. Both the courtyard and the outdoor ceremony area sit under covered stretch tents. Our indoor ceremony room, complete with an open fire, is always ready as a backup if you need to quickly move indoors. The wet weather will never derail your plans at Water’s Edge.
We can seat up to 130 guests indoors for your ceremony and wedding breakfast. If you add our tent canopy, you can also welcome up to 180 for your evening party. The same 180-guest capacity applies if you choose to marry on our outdoor island.
Yes. Every wedding at Water’s Edge is exclusive-use, so the venue and grounds are yours to enjoy for the entirety of your celebration. We take on a limited number of weddings each year, meaning your wedding will get our full attention.
Of course. You’re welcome to bring your own decorations, floral displays, or personal touches. All decorations can be completed the evening before your wedding day.
Our venue combines stunning lakeside views with elegant Cotswold stone architecture, giving couples a peaceful, private setting with everything on site ceremony, reception, and accommodation.
Water’s Edge is beautifully situated in the heart of the Cotswolds, in the village of Ewen, near Cirencester, offering easy access from across Gloucestershire and the surrounding countryside.
Yes. Our wedding coordinators will provide you with a list of photographers, videographers, florists, hair stylists, and other suppliers who’ve worked here before and know our venue well. But if you’d rather use your own suppliers, that’s absolutely fine too.
No, you’re not tied to a fixed supplier list at Water’s Edge. All catering is provided by our in-house team, but you can bring your own team of photographers, videographers, stylists, and other suppliers. We can also provide you with a list of recommended suppliers if you need a little inspiration.

Yes. The 25 acres of grounds surrounding the venue are yours to enjoy for the full two nights of your stay. You and your guests can explore them whenever you like, not just during set photo slots.
The estate covers 25 acres, consisting of picturesque parkland, woodland, and the lake itself.
There’s no shortage of stunning photo spots at Water’s Edge. Some of our favourite places include the waterfall, the row of poplar trees, the croquet lawn, the lake, and the 25 acres of parkland surrounding the estate.
Yes. The lawns and courtyard are perfectly set up for drinks, canapés, and garden games. Many couples choose to enjoy games or a relaxed drinks reception down by the lakeside, before moving indoors for the wedding breakfast.
Yes. The fee is £280 if you marry indoors, or £350 for the outdoor ceremony space.
Yes. A bank holiday supplement is added on top of the standard rate for that date. You can view up-to-date costs on our pricing webpage.
The minimum spend on food all depends on the time of year. You’ll need to spend £4,000 across January-March and November-December (40 guests minimum), £5,000 in April-May and September-October (45 guests minimum), and £6,000 in June-August (50 guests minimum).

Yes. The marquee is left deliberately plain inside, so you, or your florist and stylist, can shape it however you like rather than working around a fixed look. There’s also a beautiful frame overhead if you’d like to add hanging florals.
The package gives you sole use of the grounds and lake, the reception room, courtyard, bar, and island; a ceremony space outdoors or indoors; parking for over 100 cars; the marquee with its tables, chairs, power, lighting, catering tent, and dance floor already in place; a wet-weather ceremony option; and a coordinator plus staff on the day.
Yes. Every event at Water’s Edge comes with sole use of the grounds, courtyard, and function room for your group.
Yes. If you have something specific in mind, our kitchen can put together a bespoke menu that’s tailored to your event, rather than only offering a fixed set list.
We have a team of in-house chefs who offer a variety of menu styles, from formal dining to relaxed sharing feasts. We’re also happy to discuss bespoke options.

Yes, accommodation is available on-site. You’ll get exclusive use of our three luxury rooms for two nights with every wedding. Our rooms don’t come as standard for other events, but they can be booked for an extra charge.
You will gain access to your rooms from 4.30pm the day before the wedding, and will check out by 11am the morning after. This gives you two full nights to settle in and celebrate at your own pace.
Yes. We can lay on a dinner for your close family, friends, and bridal party the night before, and we can also serve brunch the morning after your wedding. Mealtimes are covered across your whole stay.
There’s a relaxed pamper area between the bedrooms that’s fully kitted out for hair and make-up. The pamper space features large mirrors and enough room for everyone to get ready together, rather than being split across separate rooms.
Our three on-site rooms are reserved for the wedding party and close family, but your guests won’t have to go far. Options include Ewen Mill, Orion Holidays, The Bell at Sapperton, De Vere Cotswold Water Park, or one of the local Airbnbs in Ewen. Or, they can stay at one of the hotels in nearby Cirencester (The Fleece, The Kings Head, Premier Inn, or Travelodge).
Yes, you can request an early check in if needed. Simply get in touch with your wedding coordinator ahead of time and we’ll do our best to bring your check in forward where the schedule allows.
Yes. We hold a license for civil ceremonies and partnerships, so the legal part of your day can happen right here on-site rather than at a separate registry office.
Yes, we facilitate vow renewals alongside weddings. You can choose a civil, celebrant-led, or humanist format, depending on what feels right for you as a couple.
