We got married at Waters Edge in August 2023. A stunning venue that provided us with the intimate outdoor experience we were looking for. Alex, Emma and Steve took time to listen and work with our suppliers to create a truly memorable experience for all fifty of our guests. If you are thinking about booking Waters Edge, don’t hesitate, you will not regret it!

Waters Edge at Ewen was the first venue we viewed when we started our wedding planning journey in 2023, and this September 2025 in the most perfect setting we got married at this venue and we knew instantly it was the right choice.
Alex and Will were so helpful and attentive throughout the planning right up until the day after our wedding when they helped us host a day 2 brunch!
The venue itself has so much to offer with beautiful interior design, stunning reception located next to the river and lake and space for all our friends & family to enjoy our special day , they even allowed our dog to make an appearance after the ceremony!
Also a shout to the head chef to put on the most amazing spread of food from the canapés to the pancakes we had as our chosen dessert!
The whole day couldn’t have been more perfect and we wish we could do it all over again, with love & thanks from Mr & Mrs Lee !

From the moment we reached out to book a viewing, to meeting Will at Water’s Edge for a tour – I knew I had found the venue. Will was so accommodating, answering all our questions, allowing us time to take a look around at our own pace and he had such a lovely relaxed and charismatic persona about him too – I left knowing that I was going to say yes.

Will has been an absolute star at communication too, whether that was via email, phone or in person. He met all of our questions and requests with the most professional responses and always found a way to accommodate what we asked for or found an alternative route that worked perfectly – and we really appreciate his co-operation and flexibility on ensuring we were able to meet what we had in mind.

Our menu tasting experience was so unique too – we didn’t quite know what to expect and they all absolutely smashed it out of the park. The food was phenomenal and it was SO hard to pick what we wanted to go for, we truly appreciated the option to have that as private for us to enjoy it together, there was SO much food and hats off to your chef as he is so fabulous with his creations.

Through to our pre-wedding day and wedding day itself – we were so impressed with everything they did for us, Will ensured we felt relaxed and could go at our own pace from the moment we arrived to set up and kept in constant communication in a lovely subtle way too that meant it never felt overwhelming.

Will and his team on the day were so smooth with their service, from drinks and canapés, food and tidying up too – they were all like a well oiled machine and everything just ran so nicely.

I know I mentioned Will’s communication above, but honestly on the wedding day itself he was so great at ‘handling’ us; ensuring we always had drinks or food, were served first and treated really attentively. They all had personal connections with the both of us and our families and friends too and it absolutely didn’t go unnoticed.

The venue was absolutely perfect too, such a special and intimate space that had plenty of hidden corners and areas for guests to relax, chat and dance in – the spaces are all broken up perfectly too to give different vibes which is so lovely. The bedrooms and space upstairs is also SO lovely, everyone that walked into the rooms all were amazed by them and had plenty of praise for the beautiful spaces.

The FOOD too. As said for the tasting experience, I think as a bride and groom everyone gets a little worried that the food on the day maybe doesn’t quite match what gets sold to them ahead of the wedding, but honestly – there was no concern needed.

The food was phenomenal, the portions for just us were absolutely huge and we loved trying all the different items and the individual platings to suit our dietary requirements too. Our guests absolutely loved the sharing platters and said it was so unique and such a surprise for the wedding day (which was what I’d always wanted!) as it meant people are going to remember that experience outside of all their other wedding experiences. SO many people literally came up to us on the day to say how amazing the food was, they were all so blown away by the quality – with how fresh and juicy and succulent everything was. I feel like we’ve definitely been to weddings where food is mass produced and it loses the flavour or becomes so dry – and it couldn’t be further from the truth for the delectable food you served to our party. I know I thanked your chef on the day – but please do pass on our thanks again, he absolutely smashed it (and also the TASTY breakfast the next day!), as he is a superstar.

Incredible wedding venue! Water’s Edge hosted our wedding in July 2023. From viewing the venue to the ceremony itself, Steve, Emma and Alex (the team behind the venue) were fantastic. They went out of their way to make our day extra special and they could not have been more friendly and helpful. The leafy lakeside location made for a beautiful setting for our ceremony and drinks reception. The food was exceptional, with many guests complimenting the chef in the live kitchen. The courtyard area with festoon lighting, fire pits and garden games makes for a lovely area for people to mingle. Our guests were seriously impressed. We are thrilled that we chose Water’s Edge for our wedding venue and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

Water’s Edge is a fantastic venue. We had our reception here and were beyond impressed from start to finish. From the very first visit, everything ran so smoothly. Will and his team are profesional, organised and offer a level of service which is outstanding. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and all our requests were taken care of. The setting and the grounds are stunning, offering some beautiful photo opportunities. The food was delicious and we had so many complimentary comments on the menu.

The difference with Water’s Edge is that being a family business, they understand what makes a wedding special. They offer a level of service which a cut above and we would recommend Water’s Edge to anyone. Thank you again, Alli and Will

Where do I start… We had an absolute fairytale wedding at Water’sEdge. As soon as you arrive you know you have found something special, the storybook nestled away garden, the winding pathway to the stunning lakes. It really was a ‘pinch me moment’ walking down that gorgeous aisle surrounded by nature.

We can’t thank Will and team enough, they constantly went out of their way to make our vision come to life. Be it delicious vegan options, private dinings, last minute rehearsals.. thank you so much for being so accommodating! That’s the difference working with a close-knit family run set up, it all felt very personal. We can’t wait to go back and visit again in the future.

We could not recommend having your wedding at Water’s Edge enough! The venue is gorgeous and had many compliments from our guests. The ceremony space is stunning, with the water, swans and greenery. The bar, courtyard and dinner space were perfect. We had 90 guests but the whole space seemed well thought out and gave the intimate, relaxed vibe we wanted for our wedding.

As well as the stunning scenery, a selling point for us was the exclusive use of the venue for the entire weekend. The bridal party arrived on the Friday to stay and had dinner served by the chef. We were also allowed to invite family back for breakfast at the venue on the Sunday. It is family run and does not have a wedding every day (like some other venues) which means it always feels like your wedding is important and special to them, and you are not being rushed out.

Finally, Will and Alex were always on hand to communicate with – quick to answer my questions via email and present to make the day run smoothly. Every thing went exactly as planned because of all their (and the rest of the teams) hard work. Danny, the chef, had lots of praise from our guests and the food was incredible.

The team at Water’s Edge made our wedding reception! From start to finish they were incredibly accommodating, very helpful and just a pleasure to work with. The facilities at the venue are superb – from the bridal suite to the bar, the function room and the courtyard; the venue is just beautiful!!!

We got lots of positive comments from our guests about the food and drinks served, especially from those who had dietary requirements who noted how well they were accommodated for. We got married in September 2023 at Watersedge and honestly we couldn’t have asked for a better team to look after us and our guests. From our first visit to the venue on a cold frosty morning in January, a warm welcome from Steve and Emma made us feel very relaxed and welcome and the venue is so gorgeous all year round that sold itself. We fell in love with both the venue and the team and knew that they would make every little detail possible. They were in touch with us regularly and helped us put together a detailed iteniary to ensure our day ran smoothly, nothing was ever too much and above all it was all done with a loving and caring touch. Alex and Rachel who ran the show on our Big day were incredible, who needs wedding planners when your venue has them.

All our guests could not stop complementing us on how great our venue choice was and how lovely the team had been. The food was lovely, considering we had a large mix of vegetarians and meat eaters, it went down really well with both.

Finally the accommodation, I spent the night before my wedding there with my bridal party, the rooms were super spacious and the relaxing, I have not appreciated a late night calming bath ever before, the attention to detail, comfy beds, beautiful bathrooms and the lovely breakfast in the morning was better than some of the 5 star hotels we stayed in. Steve and Emma have built something really special in here at waters edge with their family and lovely team, it was an honour to be able to have shared our special day with them.

Fantastic new purpose built venue 

The staff at Water’s Edge are absolutely wonderful. They were able to accommodate every need and requirement that we had and remained professional and polite throughout our time of booking all the way up to the big day.

They kept the day running to schedule and made sure everyone was catered for.

The venue is absolutely stunning and all our guests said what a perfect day it was. We couldn’t have wished for more!
