Is Water’s Edge a licensed wedding venue?
Yes, we’re fully licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships, so you can hold your ceremony and reception all in one beautiful location.
How do we arrange a viewing of the venue?
You can book a private tour through our online enquiry; we’d love to show you around Water’s Edge and discuss your plans in person.
Do you offer exclusive use of the venue?
Yes, every wedding at Water’s Edge includes full exclusive use of the venue and grounds, so your celebration remains completely private for you and your guests. Check-in is from 4:30pm the day before your wedding, to 11:00 am the day after your wedding.
What is included in the venue hire fee?
- Access to our three bedrooms the night before and the night of your wedding day.
- Full planning and coordination of your wedding.
- Two stylish stretch tents for the courtyard and ceremony.
- Festoon and fairy lighting in our courtyard.
- Tables and chairs for your ceremony and wedding breakfast.
- Bespoke handmade wooden rustic trestle tables.
- Connected sound system, wireless PA, and microphones for speeches.
- Cutlery, crockery, and glassware.
- Bar, front-of-house, and management on your wedding day.
- Opportunity to host a pre-wedding dinner or post-wedding brunch.
- Two easels for your seating plan and order of the day.
What is the guest capacity?
Our venue can comfortably host up to 120 guests for a seated wedding breakfast (up to 150 with indoor and outdoor dining) and 180 for the evening reception.
Do you provide catering, or can we bring our own caterers?
We have a team of in-house chefs who offer a variety of menu styles, from formal dining to relaxed sharing feasts. We’re also happy to discuss bespoke options.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
Yes, couples may supply their own wine and champagne during the wedding breakfast for a small corkage fee, or we can handle everything via our fully licensed bar.
Do you have recommended suppliers?
Yes, we have a curated list of photographers, florists, musicians, and stylists who know the venue well and help everything run seamlessly.
Is there accommodation on site?
Yes, we offer three luxury on-site bedrooms for you and your guests included in the venue hire fee. We are also blessed with ample local accommodation, including the 22-bedroom Wild Duck Inn, adjacent to our venue and there is also great accommodation in the village and surrounding areas including Cirencester.
Can we decorate the venue ourselves?
Of course! You’re welcome to bring your own decorations, floral displays, or personal touches. All decorations can be completed the evening before your wedding day!
What is the closest train station?
Kemble station is only 1.5 miles away (5-minute drive).
